hey guys I recently got the Samsung s8300 as well, and so far I’m not very happy with it. It keeps turning itself off, sometimes when I press the battery cover, and other times for no apparent reason at all. Also, could someone please tell me how to use the secondary camera on the front ? I’d really like to take photos with that instead . thanks ! oh and btw guys, you can also go to your ‘normal’ profile settings, and in the top right corner there’s a drop-down menu which you can use to change the keypad tones . you can’t turn it off, but you can turn it down to off

here is a couple of answers 4 u guys yes it does have wifi,
try pushing the photo takeing button a bit harder,loud speaker can be use slided open or shut, to turn off the message tone completely by goin to menu, settings, phone profiles, the >> next to normal, the drop down arrow in the top right hand corner, phone sounds and draging the phone sound volume down to 0 but that’s the hard way easy way is to press the silver button on the left hand side down till u get to 0

The button on right side next to lock button is used to take a photo right? When i push it it makes the shutter sound but doesn’t take a photo anyone know what could be wrong?

In the main menu, you will find the Keypad icon on your left down corner. Click that and bring down the volume to 0 using the big silver button on your left. This is as good as turningoff the keypad tome. It is junk way but the only one i found out.

Hey, Paul, I think we’re actually asking about turning the keypad tone off completely, not just turning it down.

Any ideas about the message ‘no event’ which has been showing up on my OH’s screen for the past 24 hours? Can’t find any reference to it anywhere.

And can you download your own photos from your pc onto it to use as wallpaper?

Had my old phone for 7 years, so this is a bit of a jump for me. It’s like having someone else’s teeth in your mouth.
