   hello, I’m from Russia, my English is very bad.
   if you need driver for sound, use your disk which you buy with your dell inspiron 1521. take driver for sound from it from another model (1520, 1720 or another). next reboot your dell inspiron 1521. It stategy hepl to me.

   Hi,

   I wonder if you can asist me my son’s laptop Dell Inspiron 1521 has just developed an isue. When you turn on the power you get absolutely no display although the indicators on the right appear to be telling me the device has not lost power.

   Not sure what to do to develop a resolution for this, hoping you can help me here.

    I installed the Sygmatel driver for audio and then reinstalled the driver for the Conexant modem and everything is fine, I had to install legacy package from ATI to get the X1250 installed (.NET 2.0 or above reqd first),but alas everything is working fine except SM Bus controller, not sure what it is but will give it a go, thanks for a wonderful site which one can come and get everything they need, in spite of Vendors themselves……If anyone would like an ISO of all the Installed drivers expanded, please email me with your email me for arrangements….this is only for XP…

    Dell Inspiron 1520/1521 ATI Radeon X120 Display XP Driver

    Can be download by ATI site with the following file name

    9-3_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe. And it work’s good on the
    Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop. I have tried it.

    in the device manager is a driver SM BUS CONTROLLER, i have xp a i now that will be instaled only on vista ,but i want to instal in xp :inspiron 1520 nvidia8600mgt xp ,intel core duo t 7300, – 2.00 Ghz , sow pls help.
