First Install the SATA Drivers

You may use an external usb floppy drive and use the F6 option during the windows XP installation. If you don’t have an external floppy available, then Nlite slipstreaming is your best option.

A good guide to slipstream sata driver Click Here

Notebook with Intel processors installed, use  sata driver,

The driver is located in iaAHCI.inf

Important Notes:

1. In Nlite, choose the option of insert -> multiple driver folder
2. Select ONLY x86 driver SATA AHCI when asked.
3. Never choose x64 driver when asked.

    select the network adapter with yellow triangle with exclamation…
    right click and choose… “update driver”/”scan for hardware changes”
    which would launch a wizard just choose “no, not this time” when it asks to connect windows update..
    next…
    choose “install from a list or specific location”…
    next…
    choose “search for the best driver in these locations”
    check the checkbox reading “include this location in the search” and then specify the path to the driver folder “Dell 1397 Half Mini Card inspiron 1440 driver– cHaoS”…
    choose “next” then wizard detects the cards… next “finish”…

    I have tried installing wireless lan drivers for inspiron 1440 but I am not able to. I have tried with inspiron 1525 and many other dell drivers and have tried with download from “Megaupload” also. I have been trying for the past one week. Please help me on this.     my inspiron 1440 shows no display on the first boot (though booting ok in the background) but on booting again becomes ok and shows the display.
    A display resolution setting error pops up sometimes which says that a resolution lower than 1366×768 was ordered by OS/software/Game and not supported

    When I put SATA in AHCI mode my Inspiron 1440, it can not detect my CDROM and I can not install anything in AHCI mode.
    Any help please.
    The same dvd I am using on my P5Q-VM Asus mobo in AHCI mode, it installs just fine ( with AHCI and other drivers already integrated using nlite).

     Hey guys thank you very much for your support I got wire less card driver for my inspiron 1440 laptop only one thing is left SM bus controller. What is this and how to install it.
     One more thing I ggot it from megaupload, rapidshare file has been removed please reupload.
