   there is no support for hard drive wipeout caused by Linux formating the wrong partition ect. reformating the drive and reinstalling XP OK? but no drivers.I looked for hours. I will try reinstalling Linux at another time when I get my nerve up, but thanks to you I have the drivers. Thanks again.

    Thanks a bunch for sharing these drivers.

    For the people wanting to install XP on the Acer Aspire One, you can do so by connecting an external USB CD/DVD ROM or using a USB Flash Drive. There are many tutorials out there. Check Youtube or do a Google search.

    if u hav 2 install windows on the minilaptop with no dvd rom u just hav 2 use a ide to usb converter cable or buy a portable dvd rom

    I don`t understan much how to start up a new computer. I`ve just bough a lap top on the net, a ACER ASPIRE ONE MINI NOTEBOOK 8,9. It was no CD driver in the packet and no DVD input in the laptop. So I don`t know how to get installed a driver on the machine even if I had one. I need a Windoves XP in english version. Please help me to solve this problem, I simply don`t know what to do!

    Hi experts!

    I have my 4Gb USB pen drive with XP now installed using the PEtoUSB software. All worked fine and I also slipstreamed SP2 on to it using Nlite, again no problems.

    I then changed the boot sequence on the Acer Aspire One A150 to USB and Windows started to install. Like many others, I got the blue screen of death stating that no hard drives could be found. From here, I thought I had 2 options.

    1) Change the SATA BIOS settings from AHCi to IDE , (but this option is not available on the ‘Main window’ on the BIOS version I have.

    2) to install the required SATA driver from a third party (but the Acer has no floppy drive and don’t know which driver to use anyway).

    So can somebody please, please give me the solution to how I can get my Windows OS (on USB) to recognise the hard drive on my Acer Aspire One A150? I.e. if I need an additional SATA driver, where do I get it and how do I install it? Or if changing the BIOS is a better way, do I need to update the version so I can see the SATA settings?

    Many thanks to all that can help! I really don’t want to keep running Linux, Ubuntu etc…!

    Thanks a ton for the drivers! I had to go to a german version of the acer site to pick up some drivers but love the fact that you have them, too. Can’t believe the US doesn’t offer the drivers.

    When i try to install the chipset drivers it gives me a BSOD upon reboot and the only way to get it to work again is to use last know good config…any advice? Its an AD250 AspireOne

    same trouble here. i cant install the chipset. and i already try to update then bios, same thig… AO D250. it just keep booting and i have to use the last configuration that works
