as you probs know already that the acer m1640 does come with a floppy drive.
for all u out there that does not want to go out an buy one i have a solution.

    download a program called nlite
    open nlite
    insert xp cd
    click add drivers
find the right drivers for this computer
    click next
it will make a windows xp cd and add the needed drivers for you so no need to buy a floopy drive

  30. gaskar says:

Very well site. So i’m looking again the driver coprocesseur and raid for acer aspire M1640.
    Thank you before your replay

  31. Rick says:

For those that can’t find co processor and Raid drivers in this package it is there. In the chipset download co processor is “SMU”( system management utility ) and Raid is in the same under either Raid IDE SATA or one of the three works. I got everything installed okay. One tip, for the Nvidia video install don’t use the “setup”.exe option instead point device manager to Nvidia un compressed folder and you will get it installed. I got a couple of errors looking for files that were in the folder but would not install so see what works for you. Start to finish was 15 minutes!!

  36. IceHappy says:

    Dear Sir

My friend was going to throw away his computer. I hooked it up to my Avocent KVM and blew a channel… My lost but after replacing his PSU for a nice silent Zalman Heat Pipe Silent PSU I could not get his HDD working again. I formatted his Hdd and tried to install XP Pro but kept coming up with BSOD pointing at his SATA or HDD. I found your site and dled all the XP Pro drivers you have so nicely provided. Starting up XP Pro installation again armed with a Floppy with your raid driver and his Hdd unlocked and XP Pro installed nicely. In fact he now says this was faster than the original OS but then we know image based OS installation by OEM is not as good as proper installation by hand. Could not have done it without your drivers and that sir makes you very green as you have kept this system from ending up in landfill! Many thanks and anyone reading this who is running into BSOD whilst installing XP Pro your solution is here!

    Thanks once again.
    Kind regards
    IceHappy

  37. vivego says:

muchas gracias por los drivers, pero ¿como los instalo?

    Gracias

  38. Betho says:

Thanks a lot man!! you’re the best

  39. Martyn says:

Thanks, I’ve spent hours trying to fix the 0000007B BSOD error and this seems to have fixed it. :)

Someone should mirror those files onto MEDIAFIRE and/or MEGAUPLOAD because it took me 10 minutes to download a 15 MB file which is INCREDIBLY slow since it usually takes me less then a minute…

I will try to mirror them but my PC is located in CANADA and the upload speeds up here suck. Therefor, I will probably only mirror the 15 MB file.
