My Acer Aspire 3000 notebook Win.XP Home doesnt recognise the dvd driver. I can play factory printed dvd, not home made dvd and I cannot make a system image dvd. The machine supports DVD dual+R Double Layer/DVD+-RW. It is said to be a typical problem of Acer Aspire notebooks. Acer designed the Aspire series for XP Pro and didn’t adapt the dvd drivers for XP Home. Can you help? Thanks.
My Pc got a Nvida screen card named Nvidia GeForce 9650 GS And Itel core 2 duo prossesor T9300 does these drivers work on those component ?

Thanks a quadrillion! 64 bit XP Pro has outperformed Vista on my 8920 by leaps and bounds. You saved me a lot of time looking for these drivers.

Guys i have install all these drivers, but my display is stil plug and play any drivers for it?
How do you install windows XP on a 8920? Is that possible? I wonder because it doesnt boot from a Windows XP Pro cd correctly. Not a Windows 2000 Pro cd either (both 100% original, no illegal copies), same problem. Is there something we are missing?
The problem is that it boots from the cd but the installation doesnt continue as it should, it never loads correctly.

You must first enter your BIOS (by pressing the F2 key when you see the first screen after you have turned the power on).
And from your BIOS, go to the MAIN section there, scroll down to SATA MODE, and change it from AHCI mode to IDE mode. Then save your settings and exit (you can do it by pressing the F10 key). After that you should be able to install your Windows XP.
