   Are you sure all of these drivers work and will my guarentee be void if I change my Opperating System? I just bought the laptop for £390 I don’t really want to switch to XP and then it stop working - as that would be a waste of money! :S Please help!

   Yes they do work! I changed to XP instead of Vista. (Vista sucks!) Acer Aspire 5735z works much better with Windows XP.

   Does somebody know, how to make this laptop work in WiFi network? There are a couple of wireless drivers here - from Broadcom to Intel - which of them is correct to my Acer Aspire 5735Z?

   Everytime I go to download these drivers from uploading.com, AVG tells me that there is a “Trojan horse dialer 29.D” It is blocking it fine, but just thought I’d tell/warn ppl.
   I hope these XP drivers work for my new lappy. It’s crappy that Acer doesn’t include a CD with drivers for both Vista AND XP seeing that so many ppl have no reason/desire to use Vista.

   My wifi doesn’t work too. I can’t enable the radio.
   The button of keyboard doesn’t work , I press the button but the radio continues disable.

    ich habe mir hier ja die Windows XP treiber runtergelden, erst mal hut ab, habe ne ewigkeit gesucht bis ich das gefunen habe aber geile sache das ich sie hier gefunden habe, mein problem was ich nur habe ich bekomme gar nicht Vista runter geschmissen keine ahnung wie ihr das hin bekommen habt bin kurz davor den rechner aus dem fenster zu kicken.
    Kann mir hemand helfen wie ich Vista runter bekommen kann????

    razvan,windows xp can see only 3gb ram so that is normal
    don’t bother with that for now

    i fixed the prob with the wifi connection ,try it also guys and maybe you are lucky also (the 5735z come with various specs)
    download the “QMI Foxconn Atheros XB63 Wireless WLAN Driver (V.5.3.0.45)” mentioned above,unzip it and then go to Control Panel –> Device Manager –> find the unknown internet connection and press install program ,lead it manually to where you have unziped the QMI Foxconn drivers,go to Driver –> WinXP and it will recognize it…

    prob with my wifi connection , mat can u give us more informations cose after download the “QMI Foxconn Atheros XB63 Wireless WLAN Driver (V.5.3.0.45)” mentioned above, and unzip it and then go to Control Panel –> Device Manager –>don’t now where go for (unknow internet connection)

    cannot download because after 200mb it tells me that i’ve reached the daily limit, can’t you upload to a server from where we can all download these drivers happily?:)

    I hate Vista - and Acer now too… Can’t believe they’d sell an amazing laptop with such a shit opperating system. Microsoft obviously paid them alot of money or bought Acer so they could sell Vista on their laptops!

    I want to convert to XP but people keep telling me not too. Do the drivers work and are there any missing from that list? I really want to know before I unistall the worlds worst opperating system.

    By the way is anyone going to be converting to Windows 7? I’m not I’m going to jump on the Mac Wagon

    I’ve installed Windows XP and all drivers on my new Acer 5735 and everything is working fine except:
    - Bluetooth 5.1.0.3300: doesn’t recognize any device
    - After hibernating or standying by the laptop it doesn’t get up again and I must switch it off and on again.

    Doesn’t anyone has an idea? Thanks

    I am trying to downgrade to XP Pro SP2 my Aspire5735Z but when I install XP I am getting a bluescreen message and installation stops. Could anyone give me a solution please ?

    To get rid of the blue screen during Windows XP installation on this computer, go to the BIOS and change the SATA mode to IDE. That will do.

    In the Bios setting the Sata from ahci to ide did the job for me ( blue screen)

    i changed mine to ide to get rid of the blue screen. but then when i went to format the drive it got stuck on 20% and never went any futher and i lost everything

    For every body who has problems with any driver, just take the new and the best OS Windows 7, it’s works very nice and smooth, recognizes all components from this ACER ASPIRE 5735Z, i have one and no problem with Win7
