   recently got aspire 4930 basic model but it is not suppporting win xp os and on installation showing blue screen error i have tried 2-3 xp cds..

   please help ..anyone facing a same problem ?

   Harapa u need to change some bios settings.

   change the SATA Mode from AHCI to IDE in your bios setup.

   hope you get it.
   let me know if u still have problems

   hi admin..my machine is acer aspire 4930 n im using win xp. My problem is my wifi can detect the available wireless but can’t connect it. always said limited access or no conectivity.

   is it of driver problem or what?

   hi

   i got a problem with my cd rom. i have acer aspire 4930. it detects only CDs and not DVDs. i gave it to the retailer he flashed the bios but still not working. my earlier bios version was 1.12 and now it is 1.06.
   i tried searching for this bios version on net to download but i’m not getting it.
   pls suggest me way to fix my cd rom and bios…

   Hi,
   In my Device Manager, it display “Other Devices – Unknown Devices”. I have installed all the drivers but this can’t solve the problem.
   May I know what is this hardware and what driver is needed.

   Be sure to try to connect to known wifi networks that You might get access to. If You are trying to connect to a secure WLAN then it’s normal that You can’t get access to it without the right config. known to it’s owner.

   Dear
   You have to connect with wi-fi network through intel wireless utility.
   If the problem presists there may be low bendwidth problem where you try to access that network or you may out of accessible area from wireless router thereyou can’t access internet.

    Hi,

    I got new acer aspire 4930 laptop and installed successfully XP but i found LAN not working, so my internet also connecting.

    Drivers given only for Vista OS. Please help me to get connect LAN and internet….

    I have a 4925 aspire and it does not come with any dvd’s. It is using Vista 64. Recently i had some problems with the registry and had to reinstall vista but this made it worse as it installed a new copy of vista and made my old one into windows.old .. I dont have the drivers installed as well so cant use internet.. Is there a method of using back my old configuration or deleting the new windows and using back the old windows.old files and config .. This is the first time I ave cme across such a problem and am left to think that Acer should have given at least a DVD to do reinstallation.

    Hi all,
    I use Aspire 4930, now I loss my Vista, I can’t use D2D to recover, I can access the recovery partition (PQSERVICE) but I can’t find the acer mbrwrdos or mbrwrwin and I can’t use Alt+F10 to recover, I also don’t have DVD recovery, Anyone kindly help!

    Ryan try to install Intel VGA driver for XP.., mine is 4930 also and it works on Intel VGA

    i am shailesh doing my IT Business since last 10 years in india.i would like to suggest you that i have sold Aspire 4930 Laptop with Windows Vista,but my client facing a lotoff problems with Windows Vista,so he tell me to change OS from Vista to Windows XP Professional,i Have done the same but when i download the drivers for Xp Professionals it takes So Long time it may be more then one hour for single driver even if i have 2mbps broadband connection.so how can i download all drivers for windows XP Professionals,pl. help as early as possible.

    hi everybody if u have driver cd you got with purchase of laptop then it must work with both xp and vista because i have used both os and it’s working very well

    Just put all your aspire 4930 to the garbage and buy a new one… that will solve all your problem

    The solution for problem with blue screen is change the SATA Mode from AHCI to IDE in your bios setup.

    Installed all drivers in the order they specified after when you extracted all files. The order to install them are as follows:-

    01 Chipset
    02 VGA
    03 Audio
    04 Modem
    05 Wired Network
    06 Touchpad
    07 Card Reader
    08 Finger Print Reader
    09 CIR Infrared Driver
    10 Launch Manager – optional
    11 Wireless NIC
    12 Camera
    13 Bluetooth

    After each driver, must restart the laptop and eventually, you will find the laptop is fully functional.
